San-en Neo-Phoenix, Toyohashi City

Toyohashi City is the hometown of San-en Neo-Phoenix. With many attractive spots around, it was also used as the scenes of “Yell”, an NHK TV drama. Come and visit the spots particularly recommended by the team members when you go to watch their games!

Toyohashi City Gymnasium


San-en Neo-Phoenix Home Arena

Commonly known as “Phoenix Dream Arena”. It has hosted the basketball games since the bj League period and also hosts tournaments and events of volleyball and table tennis. The Arena accommodates approximately 3,000 people, and there are parking spaces for approximately 800 cars.

Although the seasoning and the toppings vary depending on restaurants, it is cooked following the “5 Principles of Toyohashi Curry Udon Noodle”, such as “quail eggs produced in Toyohashi must be used”.

Healthy and delicious thick-sliced and grilled fillet is also popular

A grilled meat restaurant which only provides carefully selected ingredients, featured by its fillet meat. Mr. Suzuki is a haunter of this restaurant. He says he always orders thick-sliced special salty beef tongue and Japanese Black beef fillet. High-quality and tender meat with a good amount of mellow garlic sauce is highly suggested.

There are so many popular animals!

The Zoo & Botanical Park familiar to the citizens of Toyohashi City as a place of rest and relaxation. Among others, the zoo, where you can meet approximately 800 animals of 130 kinds from famous ones to rare ones, is the most popular place. There are also sections where you can touch animals and various seasonal events, such as night ZOO. Mr. Ota and Mr. Kawashima say they take their children there frequently.

Tasting the Specialty Curry in a Stylish Space

Cardamom, which is a short walk from Toyohashi Station, is a curry specialty restaurant recommended by Mr. Nishikawa, who is a huge fan of curry such that he cooks curry on his own. Their concept is the “curry that never tires you even if you ate every day”, and they take time to prep and blend various spices for that. Try and enjoy their taste.
