AISIN Wings in Anjo City

Anjo City is a place where a B-League team Seahorses Mikawa is planning to build a new home arena. The city is called "Nankichi's second hometown", because Nankichi Niimi, known for his nursery tale "Gongitsune", spent about five years from the age of 25 as a teacher at Anjo High School for Girls.

Home arena of the Aisin Wings

Tosho Arena Anjo, located in the Anjo City Sports Park, is the home arena of the Aisin Wings. It has vast space and is equipped with various sports facilities including an athletic field, baseball field, tennis courts, and softball field, which are used by the Wings players for their training. In addition, the humorous playground equipment in the park, named Octopus Park and Trim Forest, is very popular among children.

Anjo Industrial Culture Park Denpark 18-minute drive from Tosho Arena Anjo

Stroll through the Danish style garden while admiring the seasonal flowers

The name comes from the fact that Anjo City used to be called "Denmark in Japan”. There are a Danish windmill, a large greenhouse with flowers, a garden full of seasonal flowers, a facility where you can experience making herbarium, wooden playground equipments, and restaurants in the park. Various events are held throughout the year, including the Winter Festival with illuminations during the winter.

The "Autumn Harvest Festival" will be held from September 18 (Sat) with many Halloween events.

At the store inside the park, you can purchase pound cakes using figs, a specialty of Anjo City, available only in Denpark. There are also a variety of other attractive fig products such as fruit tea and glacé.

Nankichi Wall Painting 7-minute drive from Tosho Arena Anjo

A tour of the city where Nankichi spent about five years of his life

You can find colorful wall paintings and monuments with motifs of Nankichi and his works here and there, mainly on the JR Anjo Station shopping street where Nankichi Niimi used to walk from his boarding house in Dego, Shindencho, Anjo City to Anjo High School for Girls (present-day Sakura-machi, Anjo City).

The restaurant is filled with Wings cheering goods and photos!

A restaurant that serves international cuisine using local ingredients. The master is affectionately called "father" by the players, and it is filled with Aisin Wings goods and player photos. It also provides live streaming of games. Ms. Sakai's recommended menu item is the ethnic fried chicken. Take-out is also available.

A popular bakery in Anjo

The store's name stands for the "good moon” in French. Their signature croissant (photo below), seasonal fruit Danish pastries made with local blueberries and grapes, and tomato sandwiches are among the popular breads. Ms. Kato has visited this store many times and has bought a lot of breads.
